Explanation For The Changes In The DigiPak - By Cameron

This post was useful in highlighting the extent of the changes which had to be made to this second DigiPak draft. It highlights my developing creativity and determination skills due to the willingness I have shown to act creatively, in order to improve on the flaws of the previous DigiPak design to fulfill the audiences entertainment needs more successfully.

NEW DigiPak Design (Changes Made) - By Cameron

New Design:

Old Design:

(NOTE: This still wasnt the final chosen design for the DigiPak product due to the fact that the conventions didn't successfully conform to pop genre as we wanted it. However despite the further changes which had to be made, it shows an example of the development of my creativity skills due to the fact that I recognised the flaws in this design. Therefore I actively went about making creative changes in order to conform to the conventions of pop genre more successfully in order to fulfill the target audiences entertainment needs.)

Location, Performers, and Mise en Scene - By Charlie

This post proved to be very useful due to the fact that it helped me gain a broader in depth understanding of how to successfully consider and apply mise en scene to our music video product. This post highlighted the importance of the chosen locations in which we filmed in, as well as highlighting the character behavior needed to successfully conform to the conventions of pop genre. It allowed us to consider any possible changes which needed to be made during the production and post production stages, to ensure that the mise en scene of our music video product successfully conformed to the conventions of pop genre.

End Of Production Survey - By Charlie

The end of production survey was useful in that it allowed us to understand exactly how contempt the audience felt in terms of their entertainment needs being satisfied by our products overall, including both the DigiPak and Website as well as the music video and our blogs. This final feedback was useful as it pointed out any small things needed to be changed or dealt with in any of the products including the blog.

Analysis Of Existing Products: Calvin Harris (DigiPak) - By Charlie

This post was useful to me as it once again acted as another example of how the conventions of pop genre could be applied to a DigiPak product in a real life existing circumstance. This further solidified my understanding of the technique needed in order to successfully add these conventions to my own DigiPak. Similarly to the Tinie Tempah DigiPak previously analysed, I found that the use of bright colours is a continuous convention of pop genre seen throughout most DigiPaks, therefore this has influenced me into considering emphasising the bright vibrant colours as one of the more noticeable main conventions of my own DigiPak product.

Analysis Of Existing Products: Tinie Tempah (Disc-Overy DigiPak) - By Cameron

This analysis of an existing pop genre DigiPak allowed me to focus in depth on how the conventions of pop genre are applied to DigiPaks in real life existing circumstances. This broadened my knowledge and understanding of the various conventions commonly seen in pop genre DigiPaks too, in this case particularly bright vibrant colours and the presentation of the star in order to present a figure of significance for the audience to idolise conform to. Furthermore this also acted as inspiration for the creation and development of my own DigiPak by using conventions of pop genre in a similar way.
