This post was useful to me as it allowed me to extend my knowledge and understanding of pop genre as a whole, but in particular the dance sub genre of it in which our products including our website were going to conform to. Due to this it allowed me to understand particular conventions associated with dance pop genre and influenced me to incorporate these into our own website during its production. Furthermore it allowed me to recognise the age range in which dance pop genre is typically associated and targeted towards, allowing me to understand how to incorporate the conventions of dance pop genre into the website in order to successfully apply to the target audience.
